I'm going to give this a solid 2 star review because the story is interesting but by the 2nd chapter I had no idea what was going on. I had no idea that the main characters name was Corie so I thought the next chapters were about someone new altogether. The chapters do not flow well at all.
I didn't like now the FBI lady (didn't find her name yet) gave up a career and retired from the FBI but sometimes maybe moonlighted for them. I'm not sure how you retire and sometimes still work for the FBI. That's not a real thing. I also didn't like how the first character makes accusations up about people in her group which she doesn't really want to go to anyways. If she worked for the FBI then I'm sure she could just say no.
This book reminds me of little old gossip ladies who meet once a week to tell each other whats going on in their families lives and the suspicions they have about people in their neighborhood instead of a FBI crime solving novel. I'm sorry but I just couldn't get into the story.
