First book I have read by Susan Isaacs. Took a bit to get into but once it got going, read pretty fast. Corie is a former FBI anti-terrorist agent who is used to a fast pace. Now she is married to a judge, reads and reviews books, and has adopted his daughter. Habits are hard to break and there is something that is nettling her about Pete Delaney, one of the guys in the Wednesday freelancers group. Things just do not sit right and her investigating begins. What she finds is totally not what she was suspecting. Thank goodness she had the foresight to get some help from her FBI friends. Corie has a kick-butt attitude that I could imagine helped in her FBI days. I will be reading more of Ms. Isaacs books.
