Fell short of expectations

I am normally a huge fan of Susan Isaac's books but this one fell far short of my expectations. It seemed to ramble a lot and evoked no emotion in me for the characters. Nothing in it grabbed and held my attention.

It had a premise I should have enjoyed as, like the main character, I too am Jewish and I write a lot of book reviews of Arab authors. But I struggled through the book.

So, how do I write in 700 characters that I did not like the book? Hmm, 275 to go. I imagine some may be better able to relate to the characters than I could. Her older books were definitely much better than this one. To me, this one was pretty much a "non-story". Corie spends the entire book making a big deal over nothing.
