I'm glad I read past the first sentence which was a "meh" moment for me (Really? you copy the first sentence from Daphne DuMaurier's book REBECCA). The rest of the sample pages were easy-going and fun. Plus, I am interested in the character of Pete and definitely would like to know what his secret is.
