From the time I read Compromising Positions I was hooked on Susan Isaacs. Corrie has settled into suburban life after leaving the FBI, but the instincts that she developed as the daughter of a policeman and later as an agent have not left her. She periodically meets for lunch with a group of self-employed entrepreneurs and after observing one of her group she begins to notice small irregularities in his behavior. Now she can’t let it rest. Even as Isaacs describes her morning routine with her husband, mundane events are written with humor.
