Based on the First Impression, which I didn't even manage to get through, this book is definitely not for me. The opening scene is beyond dull. The wife is narrating as she and her husband stand in front of vanities on opposite sides of their bathroom, and she observes and discusses their routine while telling him about a lame dream she had. There are tons of side comments in parenthesis, which irritates me. And then we advance five hours and go off with the narrator to a luncheon. She admits to being "numb with pre-boredom" at the thought of spending time with her group, and I was numb with current boredom.

I have to mention that the cover seems off for this particular genre. Maybe the story's mood alters as it moves along, but the cover seems to represent a humorous or whimsical mystery, while nothing about this narrator or the story struck me as lighthearted.
