I don’t typically read dystopian fantasy books, but the synopsis was interesting. There is a lot packed into the characters and story line. Earth’s time has become stuck. The mother & father’s marital issues. The father’s obsessions. The mother is a fortune teller, but she cannot foresee the future for her and her family members. The violent and threatening evil sister. The brother’s rumored reputation vs his real lifestyle. The heroine & her friends’ studies of psychological theories to understand the time issue. A teacher’s inappropriate conduct. The heroine throws the javelin for record distances. The media’s reaction to this surprise achievement. The rolling house. The father’s close friend gets involved in the family’s situation. Stopping and starting time. So many issues! You have to finish the book to get closure.
