This book was so confusing. I didn’t like the writing style and it only added to the confusion. This book was not about time or sci-fi/fantasy. I don’t like when the summaries are nothing like the actual contents of the book. It didn’t make sense, it was probably all metaphors, and overall I did not enjoy.

I was really confused reading this book until I realized that it was quite possible that everything was a metaphor. It kind of seemed like the nails and boxes were all β€œwalls” that the family put up and had to go through - and eventually take down.

My final thought when finishing this book was, β€œwhat was the point of any of it?”

TW: manipulation (abuse)

The cover to this book at first was not my style, but after I finished the book it made A LOT of sense. It's kinda pretty, I do really like the colors and the house design.
