I am honestly so conflicted about this book. I had a great first impression and I was really intrigued with the premise of time stopping. I was expecting a YA Sci-fi but this book didn't really get into science fiction at all.

The book lacks a clear plot and it's more about what the characters are thinking and feeling the whole time, rather than what they're actually doing. Also, I had a really hard time picturing the boxes and the house as described, I just couldn't wrap my head around it. But maybe that was the point. The writing style was interesting but, to me, very distracting.

Things I liked are the basis of time stopping and the mystery of what the Switch would do. The characters were well developed and each had a very distinct personality, which I appreciate in such a short book.

Overall, Switch left me wanting more plot and more explanation. Definitely one of the most unique books I have ever read. Thank you to the author, publisher and Bookishfirst for providing me with a free copy.
