Switch is one of the most interesting books I have ever read. As well as one of the most difficult. Its unique unconventional storytelling makes it a classic A. S. King novel where almost nothing is just as it seems.

The concept of the book was a bit hard to follow but I loved the big family focus. I do wish that we had been given more background information on the sister character. I found their abuse hard to read about but also found it very relatable. The relationship between their parents was relatable as well and I really felt for Tru.

It was interesting to see how time stopping affected everyone and how they dealt with that. Schools now have students trying to figure out the time issue which I thought was interesting given the students themselves are already coping with so much and now having to try to solve, what could be, an adult problem.

Another aspect that I liked was how some kids gained almost superhero abilities. Tru gains the ability to throw a javelin so far that it's record breaking and another character gains the ability to fly. There is always something to take away with King's work, always a deeper message.
