What sounded like a really interesting premise fell flat for me in the first look. I found the writing style to be distracting and the main plot point (time stopping) to have no actual consequences, defeating the purpose. I often wasn’t sure what was literal or metaphorical, leaving me confused and unsatisfied. I appreciate the concepts and am hoping the book would gain momentum, but unfortunately this wasn’t what I was looking for in this type of book.
