I have never read anything by A.S. King before, but I have heard amazing things of their writing. "Switch" opens up by explaining this new world that we live in under a time and space pause, which is interesting as it relates to the pandemic we have all experienced where it FELT like we paused the world while we dealt with the virus.

Not a fan of the cover. The writing style is unlike anything I have seen before outside of poetry/verse style. It was slightly confusing at first, but is explained better as you move along through the story. I'm really intrigued by where this is going, and I think it was extremely creative on the author's part to come up with some of the ideas and how things operate in this new world.

I also really love the introduction of being present in the moment and feeling each emotion as it comes to you. The connection with psychology and human behaviors connecting with emotion and impacting a greater cause is intense! A lot of this is extremely strange, but it's enough to keep me curious and wanting to know what happens next.
