It was very interesting reading this first impression. If I had been removed from the world for the past year, this book would have seemed like a fantasy and dystopian mash-up where the author thought of the worst possible scenario - being stuck in a pandemic and not moving forward. I was honestly confused reading some of this first look, as the metaphors were dense.
