Well this was a surprisingly touching story of how hard it can be to throw off the shackles of our past to claim our rightful future. This is truly a coming-of-age story, as we walk with Charlie through evolving friendships, the responsibilities of work and home life, and young love and the lengths we’ll go to in order to win someone’s heart, and what we learn about ourselves throughout.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves Shakespeare, as Romeo and Juliet is a frame through which much of the story is revealed. But I’d also recommend it to anyone who wants to peak inside the heart and mind of a teenage boy to see how hard they struggle to simultaneously be seen and ignored, an individual and part of the group, a child and a man.
