I would give it zero stars if I could. The brief synopsis of the novel made it sound like something I would like to read and was really looking forward to read. How wrong it was. The book had a modern Romeo and Juliet theme, but it kept jumping back and forth from the present to the past which made it very confusing. I gave up after 150 pages. I really tried, but the struggle to read made it very unenjoyable. When I start skimming it is time to stop reading. It was a chore to read. It was drawn out. It was a real disappointment. It was hard to get into and when you finally think you are it goes back to being dragged out. I had to push myself to even read the 150 pages. I do not know what the hype was about.
