I think Charlie's life will be worth a read
The First Look didn't provide much to grab onto, and it resembled very little of the book's summary, but I remain intrigued. I like the writing, and the way the author sets the scenes: not too much detail to make me phase out from boredom, but enough explanation to make me crave the very cigarette Charlie smokes in the grass.
I left the first few chapters desperate to know what happens to Charlie, and whether the woman in the grass is the woman who becomes his fiance.
I think the cover is ridiculous. It's like a cartoon, and it doesn't fit with the tone of the book's opening chapters.
