I really like cookbooks with a twist - not just a collection of recipes, but something that tells a story and pulls the featured meals together. To me, the ideal cookbook would be half-recipes and half-memoir.

The title "Sweet Revenge" does seem a little too on-the-nose, but I suppose that's inevitable when you are trying to combine dessert recipes with a story of redemption and can't say no to cheesy wordplay.
