This is a book that is from a genre that I don’t usually read from. So in the beginning I did not know what to expect or how I would feel as I read the book. The focus of the book is the story of a adopted child getting pregnant and being so young had to put her own child for adoption. Something that definitely had to be hard considering the circumstance with her own birth and family. This was an emotional rolls coaster and dealt with a topic that is not talked much about. It gave me a new perspective on adoption and the true meaning of family. I also believe that this is based on a true story so it makes the whole experience even more memorable. There was also pictures included in the book that helped me imagine and picture the characters in the book more easily. This also ties in with the book being based on a true story. When I know that books are based on a true story it changes how I see things.
