I received an ARC from BookishFirst, Grand Canyon Press, and the author in exchange for my honest review.

I found this to be a well-written memoir of a woman, that gave up her baby when she was sixteen. She herself had also been adopted, at the time period she lived in abortions were illegal and not ready available as they are in todays time. At times her frankness was raw and revealing of all she endured growing up, and finding out she herself had been adopted. She eventually finds her son, and forms a relationship with him. This book could contain some triggers for certain people, but overall I found it to be a very good read. Due to the shortness of the chapters, you just seemed to speed through the book. This book really gave me a better understanding of what someone that makes the decision to give a child up for adoption go through. I would certainly recommend this book to others.
