Originally I thought this was a thriller/mystery because of the cover. When I read the summary of what the book was about I found it was actually a memoir. I am just not sure the cover fits the book. Although what I read in the excerpt seems well written and I am sure if you like memoirs you would enjoy it. I am, however, not a fan of memoirs. Therefore, I do not think I would enjoy this book.
