Memoirs are normally not my kind of book. It really is just something with the way that they are written. Surrender though doesn't have that same mundane flow of the book. It almost has a story flow to it. I can't imagine being in Marylee's shoes were she felt the only acceptable option was adoption even though growing up herself she always felt so empty because she didn't have the family that look and talked like her. It was definitely a different time from now. I actually wouldn't mind trying to read this story about Marylee's struggles of growing up and how she was finally able to find her son.
