I absolutely love reading about foster care and adoption because I have a strong heart for those in need. I want to know more about what they go through so, whenever I'm able to begin the journey, I know what the children are experiencing.
This particular excerpt I was underwhelmed. I hate saying that about someone's personal experiences, but the story just didn't flow and keep the reader engaged.
Obviously, what this author went through is anything but normal (at least as far as I know) but I still wish she would have tried to engage the audience more so that more people would be willing to read a book about a major issue in our world today.
The cover of the book is beautiful and the title makes a lot of sense once you have a good grasp of the storyline.
