This book is beautifully written. The author's recounting of her own story is heartbreaking to read but also empowering to know she made it through the difficult times she describes in this book. I am ashamed to admit that I know very little of adoption and I know even less of how being adopted effects the individual who is adopted as well as the family who gave him or her up for adoption. This book may shed some light on that information. I will say, I don't think the cover is appropriate. The cover strikes me as a horror story or a mystery. From everything I have read, this book does not appear to be either.
