This book was a translated release. It was published in China a few years ago, and because of its success was translated. Because of this translation, I found the text a bit choppy. I don't think I have ever read a translated book before, so maybe that was just because of my inexperience.
The first chapter explored the science behind this world and the super Nova that created these circumstances. But then that is it. That is just about all the scientific explanation that we get. The rest of the book explores more of the psychological and political side of the circumstances of dying immediately after hitting a certain age.
I will say that the author really gave the reader some great moral problems to think about and mule over for days to come after finishing.
