My actual enjoyment of the book is more like 3 stars, BUT I think the concept of the book is so cool so I'm being generous. I just ended up not loving the execution. The beginning of the book was absolutely my favorite part, although it was stressful to read about the world completely falling apart.
My problem is that after all the adults were gone, the only characters left in the book were 13 or younger, so things just went in directions that didn't appeal to me. It was truly interesting to consider what the world would be like if all adults were gone, but a lot of the book seemed over-the-top and unnecessary. It was pure entertainment and fun to think about, but not impactful for me.
