I’m actually surprised that I liked this as much as I did. The premise was interesting so I thought “why not”.

The first 30-ish pages, I found myself slightly confused and wondering if I’d ever make it through the book because of the technicality of the writing. I know nothing about space or astronomy and the author used a lot of astrological words, phrases, etc. which made it difficult for me to follow.

Past that, the story got much better and it flowed surprisingly well in my opinion.

The storyline in and of itself was intriguing, interesting and unique. I mean, a star in space wiping out the entire adult population, leaving children to run the entire world? How can one NOT want to pick this book up?!

This was my first of Liu’s novels and I can say I liked the writing style, other than all the scientific words and phrases.
