After reading the First Look for Supernova Era, I was suuuuper excited. What's not to like about a science fiction story about a horrific nightmare of a world where CHILDREN are left to fend for themselves after radiation kills off everyone over the age of 13?
Turns out, a good amount. I know the book was translated from Chinese, but I had a difficult time keeping the characters straight, and even knowing whether they were male or female. Sci fi isn't my go to genre, and I found myself zoning out during long passages of sciencey stuff.
Even though I didn't particularly like the book, I think readers who love science fiction and dystopian novels will enjoy this one. I just don't think I was the right reader for this particular book.
