I was pretty excited to receive Supernova Era in the mail. I am a sucker for dystopian novels of all kinds, and the description of the book sounded fascinating. Let's be honest, children on their own in charge of the future of the world? What could possibly go wrong?! Sounds like a complete disaster, and I am here for it.

Then enters the endless amounts of description. Good grief, it was like reading someone's dissertation. There was no connection to the characters and lacked serious emotion. There was so much text on the page, but nothing was being said. Important parts of the story seemed rushed, and descriptions seemed to last forever. I have never read a translated book before, so that could be part of the problem? Not sure. This book felt like homework.

The concept is great, the execution was not for me.
