I would give this 5 stars, except the ending was left more open then closed, which is totally understandable for the type of book it is, however, for me personally, I was left wanting more closure. What a book though! I've never read this type of novel before, but I was completely shocked and surprised by the turn of events in this book, and how literally any course of action was possible, it was limitless. I really liked the three main leaders of China, and I thought they were thoughtful, mindful, and really conscious of their actions and how they would reverberate in society. Lots of the things that happen in this book were curious and definitely made you put yourself in their shoes, to see what you think would happen. A very contemplative novel! I liked the style of writing as well, from different perspectives and places on Earth.
