I think the book's cover was okay, but it is not something that would personally grab my attention.
As for the content, I actually do like dystopian novels, but I like my sci-fi novels to be higher on fiction and less on the actual science part so I found the introduction pretty interesting, but started to lose interest once the dead star discussion began.
However, this book has a great premise and is probably very interesting to true sci-fi fans.
