This was quite long for a sample, so it gave me a much more accurate impression of the novel than usual. That was beneficial because the beginning didn't immediately grab me, and I wasn't super interested in all the details about the dead star, but after the event, it picked up and got interesting. When it left off, I was curious about what happens next.
