Sunny Dae (what a great name!), and his friends quickly gained my sympathy and came to life through the descriptive and realistic writing in the first couple chapters of this book. The unique and retro book cover drew me in as well. The plight of these nerds who were constantly bullied and belittled made me want things to work out for them. My interest was stirred almost instantly through Sunny's quirky and vivid voice, as well as the horrible things that constantly happened to him. I definitely want to find out what happens to Sunny next.
