I LOVED the introductory paragraphs to this new twist on the traditional ‘coming of age’ story! The reader is immediately drawn into empathy with the main character as he embarks on a new school where he clearly is without many close friends, and draws the attention of the local bully. The story draws the reader on from that point and the book was hard to put down!
