Thank you @putnambooks @bookishfirst for my review copy!

Amandla lives in a poor township with her mother who is prone to delusions and lapses in memory. When she finds a mysterious address in her mother’s bag, Amandla decides to do some investigating to find out what her mother is hiding.

I went into this book without much expectation. It sounded interesting and I thought I’d give it a try. Wow. Wow, is all I have to say. This book blew me away! By the end I was crying and clutching at my shirt and I’m here to tell you to add this to your tbr.

I felt such emotion for these characters and their journeys. I loved that when I started reading there was an idea in my mind that was totally transformed at the end. I feel like I went through it with these characters and I’m just left with a bundle of emotions. Highly recommend this one!

📚Read this if you enjoy emotional YA books, coming of age stories, or if you’re looking for a book with great female characters and friendship.
