I really enjoyed this book! I am a huge fan of books with strong characters with lots of personality. I find that sometimes well-written characters are even more enjoyable than the plot! I think that is why I really enjoyed this book. There were so many great characters. There was also lots of character development throughout the book and that was very cool to see. The plot was also good and there were plenty of twists and turns in the story. I think there were also great lessons found in the book. I loved the lessons of forgiveness, strength, and acceptance. There was also a fantastic lesson of trying your best to love and have compassion for everyone around you and trying to walk in their shoes before judging. All in all, I was so glad I got to read this and hear Amandla's story. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to read a book with a great plot and strong female characters.
