When I read the blurb about this book I was doubtful this one would really be up my alley. However, after reading the first impression the writing was wonderful and I feel like I am more invested in the story than I expected I would be. The mother seems interesting and the vision aspect, which is what had me doubtful, worked better than expected for me.
