This book has a really interesting premise. Amandla's mother has visions. But are they visions or hallucinations? Is Amandla's mother ill? What we know is that Amandla is half-Black and her mother is white. And in a small town, this is a talking point. But there's more to this story than race. I really love the cover, it really pops!
