Thrillers are my comfort reads, so I’m typically drawn to this genre. Yet, I had a difficult time engaging with this story. The characters feel flat and stereotypical. Perhaps younger YA folks won’t mind. The plot does have potential. The book cover didn’t especially give YA vibes, but I knew it was YA on the book blurb.
