Well this was certainly a compelling read!
I'll be completely honest and say that when I originally read the description of this book, I was a bit confused by it. However, I decided to give this book a chance, and I'm so glad that I did!
I knew nothing about Three Kingdoms going into this book, but having listened to the author speak about her story and the inspiration for it, I absolutely love what she did with this retelling--having it focus more on women than men. Zephyr was a great main character to follow, so I'm glad we got to see this ancient-inspired world through her eyes. And the fact that there were so many powerful, let figures in this story were women was absolutely awesome to read about!
I also loved the themes that this story explored--such as changing fortunes, fate, greed, and ambition. I also enjoyed the many moving parts of this action packed-story.
