Well-written but the characters aren't interesting to me

First off, the cover is absolutely gorgeous and I'm tempted to buy it for that alone. The excerpt is definitely well-written and it sounds like the sort of book I would really enjoy, but I had a really hard time getting into it. I think the main character is a little too logical and emotionless for me to be able to relate to her. None of the side characters were interesting either. For me, character is really important so I think I'm going to pass on this one.
