Interesting read and somewhat helpful
I enjoyed the mindfulness exercises here and will probably revisit them in the future, but overall, I felt this read was just ok. I was excited at the premise to be more present in my life and it’s written in a mostly relatable format. But I also found it just a tad pretentious and it was a little more memoir-ish for what I was expecting here.
I did like that the instructions for meditation were straightforward and concise, and Muscara’s expertise here shines. There’s also a great section on being more mindful regarding screen time/technology. I think many of us can agree that our social media presence does not always bring happiness to our lives.
A note on the cover, which I always love to mention: I liked this one. It’s a perfect connection to the blur our lives become and a reminder to slow down and reflect.
