In full disclosure, I read this book for review. I can't say that I'm at a point in my life where I am actively seeking out guides to meditation so some of the guidance in this book is beyond where I'm willing to be right now and may have sounded more cheesy than it would to someone who is actively seeking out a means to deeper presence. That being said, I'm always at a point where I'm willing to listen (or read) someone's suggestions on how I can be a happier, grounded person, and because of this there are definitely things I can take away from this book to accomplish that. Muscara does a great job of being relatable (which makes it a lot easier to put his suggestions into practice) and he does an excellent job of not setting boundaries that set the reader up for failure. Instead, he actively encourages people to incorporate things at a pace and time that feels appropriate for them. This is definitely a deviation away from many of the other self-help books I have read, and I feel like it creates the opportunity for anyone reading the book to take something away from it without feeling critical for not adapting every piece of advice by the end of the book.
