Round up to 3.5 stars.
I seesawed between exasperation, anger, and hope while reading this novel. It broke my heart when Julie would have her panic attacks over her husband's behavior. But, I was exasperated and angry that Julie wouldn't address it head-on. She buries her feelings, and runs away to begin a new life, but still can't get Dan out of her head or heart.
While I applauded Julie for making the most of her life, creating successful businesses multiple times, and treating employees like family-I was still angry with her for her timidity in dealing with her marriage. Her group of friends were all creative, talented, and loyal to Julie. They were the kind of friends you want and I hope everyone has at least one person in their life like Julie's friends.
Dan infuriated me--he was a liar, but pretended to be so loving. However, I don't think his character development was as deep as it could be.
Having said all this, I DO want to know what happens next!
Side note-there were several cases of words missing, hopefully these will be corrected before the next printing.
Thanks to Bookish First and Judy Prescott Marshall for the ARC of Still Crazy in exchange for an honest review.
