I really wanted to love this book given how much the author cares about promoting her work and the personal touches that she does in order to become a well-known author. It was very cool that the book was signed and came with a bookmark. Sometimes it’s the little things that can mean a lot! However, I just could not get into the writing style and sadly, it took me forever to finish it. I passed this one on to my mom who read it and also agreed that it wasn’t her favorite. The storyline was incredibly slow and the writing style seem to just be redundant. I actually began to not like the main character which made me resent her and not be her cheerleader. She came across as too whiny and wasn’t surprised by her outcome with her husband. I never connected to the characters and didn’t feel drawn into the story. I certainly will give this author another chance but sad to say, this one was not a winner for me.
