This is the story of a woman who lives through continual betrayal by her husband of over 30 years. In striving to be the perfect wife, Julie loses herself in the process. When she finally realizes that she can no longer live her life by constantly subjugating herself to her husband’s vicissitudes, she determines to live life on her on terms, even if that means moving on to a new relationship and leaving her husband’s infidelities in the past. Unfortunately her emotions are still raw where it comes to her long-time husband and she isn’t able to make a clean break. The reader is left with some frustration since Julie still seems to be under her husband’s influence in so many ways.
This book is not for everyone, but might be for some that like domestic dramas and women’s literature. The writing of this book left a little to be desired, but may trip the trigger of some.
