I was literally less than a page in and already hating Dan, the lying and cheating husband of our main character, Julie. Then, with the third chapter, I was incredibly conflicted by how kind and gentle he was! I don't usually read adult fiction but I'll admit I'm very curious about where all of this is going to go.
