I typically gravitate to YA over womens, and I didn't really love this. It felt a bit too cliched and depressing for me. However, I do love that it seems to have at least some Christian elements, so that elevates it for me. Overall, I still wasn't able to connect with the protagonist well enough to really enjoy it.
