Wasn't bad, but wasn't my cup of tea.

I typically love any Marie Lu books and I'm also a huge fan of Rom-coms. However, this one just didn't hit home for me.

It was a fun idea, but I found myself rolling my eyes a lot more than I expected.

I will say she did an amazing job at hiding some of the facts until the big reveal which is always a plus for me!

I think what I struggled with was the whole "only one for me" trope. I actually found myself not wanting them to get together at the end just so it'd be something different.

I'm also not a k-pop fan (my sister is a huge one though) and so I just can't completely get the whole charm aspect of Winter Young.

I am glad that she gave backstory on both characters. Of course, they were both very tragic, but that's kind of typical with her books that I've read so far.

I definitely think based on this attempt, she does better with action based fantasy. However, if she wrote another rom com and it got great reviews, I'd probably still give it a chance.
