This was a fun and spunky read that had me hooked just from the synopsis. Having the famous pop star trope flipped on its head with the whole aspect of the secret spy infiltration was crazy. I never knew what was coming next. My best friend already has dibs on this on from me talking about it so so much. I think if you are considering reading this one definitely give it a chance. The cover itself is beautiful and and it such an aesthetic book to take outside to the park for a nice read. It is also worth noting how freaking bad ass Sydney is and how important I think it is to include strong, powerful, and intelligent women in modern literature. Having her not be cast off as ditsy just because she's a woman, makes this book so much more enjoyable. There is that romantic element to the story (that was absolutely to die for), but it did not at all detract from her own capabilities.
