Wow, this book grabs you from the get go! Opening with a mysterious conversation fragment between secret agents and then a beautiful description of one of our leads, pop star Winter Young, this book certainly draws you in. The prose starts off so strong, making me really fell like I can see Winter, and I've barely dipped my toes into the story. I'm extremely excited to see where things go from here and definitely want to keep reading.
While I like the cover, and it's generally find, I certainly don't love the title and don't think the title and cover in combination really give me "spy" vibes. I only get the "pop star" vibes, and I think the book should put forth both its dualities from the start. I almost didn't pick this one up until I read the description, but, boy, am I glad I did! Maybe something more stark and less soft would have worked better?
